Enric Catà i Catà (1878–1937) was an architect from Barcelona, in Catalonia. He worked as part of the modernisme movement, which was a style popular in that period. Enric Catà i Catà was born in Sant Feliu de Llobregat to Salvador Catà Rossell and Francisca Catà Faura. He studied at the Escolapis in Terrassa, then completed his secondary education in Barcelona between 1894 and 1895. In 1895 he started higher education in architecture and graduated in 1903 with a final project for a school of arts and trades. Enric Catà combined teaching and professional work, spending over 25 years at the Higher School of Architecture in Barcelona and serving as municipal architect of Arenys de Munt for 20 years. From 1917 to his death in 1937, he led major public projects there, including a graduated school and other works such as a bridge, urbanisation plan, market, and teachers’ housing. He also collaborated with other architects and designed buildings across Catalonia, including projects in Girona, Portbou, Palamós, Reus, and Barcelona, where he died in January 1937 after being hit while crossing Passeig de Gràcia.
